Week 3 : Understanding 'Research' (part 1)

  1. What is RESEARCH? (Please use your own definition/s!)
  2. Why do you think research is important?
  3. How can we conduct good research?

Research is the systematic way of investigating something. When you want to find out more about something for your project or homework, you should research on it. Like looking for the meaning or what it does is called research. Research is also another word for gathering information.

Research is important because without research, the answers to your homework or project will be nonsense. Like what I am doing now is researching on the word ' research'. Research is designed to solve a particular existing problem so there is a much larger audience eager to support research that is likely to be profitable or solve problems or immediate concern.

Firstly, to conduct good research, we need to know what research it first. To conduct good research, we should look for reliable sources and understand what they mean, not only copying and pasting to your work. That is called good research.

Introduction to Art, Design, Media & Technology

  1. What is Art, Design, Media and Technology (ADMT) to you?
  2. Why is ADMT important?
  3. What are the skills that you would want to learn in ADMT?
  4. Sketch how the world would look like without art, design, media and technology. Describe briefly your sketch. [Take a picture of your sketch and post it on your personal blog]
To me, ADMT is 90% of the world now. Without ADMT, the world will just be hills, rivers, trees, plants, etc. There will be no houses, no buildings, and there will be caveman instead of modern man like now. We will just live like the people many many millenniums ago, where cavemen just lived in caves, carving on trees etc.

The skills I would want to learn in ADMT is drawing, designing of building, how to draw something in different angles, and more things about technology. I hope after this year, my skill of arts will be much better than the present.
